Today, let’s discuss In-Person Auditions!
Current researchers agree that within 7 seconds, people will form 11 impressions of you. Now, apply this to walking into an audition room. How do you show up? As the character? As yourself? As a combination? Do you inadvertently give your power away?
These are some of the questions you will want to ask yourself after you are done preparing for your audition. Think of this as the icing on the audition cake! In addition to your acting talent, casting and producers might be thinking about what you will be like to work with on set all day. They might want to see how you react to taking direction, etc.
Knowing *how* you want to show up is half of the equation. This is important to figure out for every audition you go on.
