01 Aug Summer Advice: How To & Tips – Actor Decluttering

Sorry for the brief blog hiatus, but we’re back!

Now that summer is in full swing, this is a good time to review casting websites, profiles, media, etc.

• • Questions to ask yourself: 
    1. Are my casting profiles up to date?
    2. Does my demo reel or demo clips catch the viewer in the first 15 seconds?
    3. Am I watching current programming to understand current styles?
       • Special note to kids and teens: make sure you’re watching current Disney and Nickelodeon shows
       • Special YA note: pick a classic acting technique book to read this summer (i.e. Respect for Acting by Uta Hagen, any Stanislavski books, Meisner technique books, Audition by Michael Shurtleff, Michael Caine’s Acting in Film)
